Modern Meets Old School… and Everybody Wins

Hey there, fancy. Yes, we’re talking to you SK Lorenzo, designed by Salih Kizilkaya. The serif double-weight decorative font design was inspired by the Baroque period and named after Gian Lorenzo Bernini, one of the famous painters of that time. Straight where it should be, with a nice open line, it finishes in unexpected places with a sweet rounded touch. Download free from Gumroad.

Taking a decidedly more modern and casual approach is Kubos, a free sans serif font from designer Georges Yannapoulous. Given his last name, it’s not surprising he named this geometric display font after the Greek word for “cube.”  Download free from Behance.
