Go Big and Bold with Two Free Display Fonts

Jump start your 2018 design ideas with two fonts destined to draw attention.

We had a lot of fun sharing free fonts every Friday last year, and we’re continuing the tradition into 2018. This week, we offer two fonts designed for maximum attention.

Shket, created by Juan Francisco Garrido, is a modern, condensed sans serif designed for display use at large sizes. It includes a more extensive character set than we see in most free fonts, making it ideal for multi-language use. Download for free at FontM.

Inspired by the epic novel “One Hundred Years of Solitude” by Gabriel García Márquez, Macondo Grotesk was designed by Giuseppe Fierro of Turin, Italy. The stylized, retro sans serif display font works beautifully with posters, pictures and headlines. Download yours at Behance.

If you like what they offer, be sure to give the designers some love – donate, appreciate or share their project and help support their work. Then sign up for our newsletter so you don’t miss a single week of the free font goodness. Happy New Year, from all of us at Freeport Press!
