A look at the best design books from 2015, chosen by the team at Print magazine.
What’s December for if not year-end best-of lists? This one’s perfect reading for the design fans out there…and awesome gift ideas if you’ve got an artist on your shopping list.
“Or, perhaps better put, a highly subjective (alphabetical) list of design books that the Print team read and loved in 2015,” writes Zachary Petit in PrintMag.
The list begins with A Heretic’s History of 20th Century Graphic Design, by Art Chantry, and ends with William Addison Dwiggins: Stencilled Ornament and Illustration by Dorothy Abbe. In between you’ll find treasures like gorgeous maps, iconography and a look at posters around the world. There’s even a book about polka dots and plaid.
We want them all. Here’s hoping you find something you love.
