Sometimes it’s all about being bold. And this week, we’ve got two great fonts for your toolbox, designed to grab some attention in the real world.
Frontage Condensed Outline, from U.S. designer Juri Zaech, is part of the Front Condensed family, a layered-type font system inspired by colorful signage. It brings to mind the three-dimensional typographic installations on storefronts that are so good at catching the eye. The narrow, generously spaced letterforms lend the typeface a bold and eminent voice. Download free from MyFonts.
Next, we bring you Mikado Bold, created by Hannes von Döhren. A strong sans serif font, it has just a touch more quirky personality than your average sans. The entire Mikado family was created for “kids, games and ice cream” according to the designer; it’s definitely got a fun and relaxed flavor. Download Mikado Bold free from MyFonts.
Enjoy these two fonts, and please remember to thank and support the designers who make our Free Font Fridays possible. See you next week!
