This week we go across the pond for our Free Friday Fonts, visiting the works of designers in Eastern Europe and the UK.
First up is Qontra by Slovenian graphic designer Tomaz Hrastar. This condensed sans serif font has low contrast, making it well suited for informational texts, headings, ads and book / magazine / newspaper designs. Includes upper and lowercase letters. Download free from Behance.
From there we travel to England; London to be precise. Jonathan Hill’s type foundry The Northern Block offers up Hapna Mono, a contemporary monospaced serif font with an open, geometric structure. Includes 241 characters with an alternate uppercase K and open type features. Download free for commercial use.
Finding new and interesting fonts is a lot of fun for us; we hope you think so too. If you do download and use these fonts, please share the love for the designers that make it all possible. And come back next week for more Free Font Fridays.
