It’s Friday, it’s February, and we’re continuing to share the free font goodness this month. This week’s fonts come courtesy of Larsenwork design.
“A minimal, narrow and yet friendly typeface,” is how her site describes Larsen’ Gidole font. “Gidole is an open source modern DIN created by Andreas Larsen in 2015. Currently, only regular weight but more weights are in the pipeline along with full Greek + Cyrillic support.”
We can see this being used on posters, maybe magazine covers and on a crisp website home page. Also available from the generous mind of Larsen is Monoid. It’s described as a “customizable coding font with alternates, ligatures and contextual positioning.” She calls it “crazy crisp” at 12px/9pt, making it good for displaying small type on smartphones and digital devices.
Oh, and if you missed it, grab last week’s free fonts here. Share the love.
