Our two picks this week are worthy of a little swoon.
Lovato Light, one of a family of five Latin-serif fonts, has a geometrical construction but it still reminds us of inscriptional lettering. It’s delicate, but with a certain commanding presence. It was designed by Kosal Sen of Philatype. Download Lovato Light from Behance … and don’t miss the video of the adorable little Scarlett naming fonts. We could listen to this kid all day…she’s really amazing.
Next up is Bariol, the “sweet but not too much” font from Atipo Foundry. Bariol Serif has clean lines and high legibility, which makes it a great choice for both headings and paragraph texts. The regular and italic sets are both free, or leave a free-will donation and get the entire family.
As always, be sure to show the designers some appreciation. And stay tuned for more Free Font Fridays!
