[responsive][/responsive]Here’s a turnabout from the usual “print goes digital” story – Facebook now comes printed!
It’s true. Users of the social network can now print their own Facebook profile or news feed as a paperback or hardcover book, thanks to a new company called LikeBook.
As reported in Before It’s News, obsessed FB fans can order printed copies of their digital experience.
“This awesome service allows you to take your own Facebook activity and create a physical Facebook book highlighting your activity. Rants, raves, food, and yes, silly kid and cat photos…It all shows up! So do all of your interactions and comments left from friends,” posts blogger Newly Crunchy Mama of 3.
While we aren’t gushing quite as breathlessly, we do think it’s pretty cool that a solidly digital medium like Facebook translates so well to print. It seems people still crave the permanence of a printed piece, a way to document in time the happenings of our lives.
Imagine documenting your year in photos and status updates. Or a wedding celebration and all the posts that go with it. It’s a fantastic way to curate the content of your digital life.
Print vs. digital? The edges are certainly starting to blur.
