Some people seem to have it all figured out. Not only are they writing great content, they are continually publishing it across all the right platforms. They are on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, even Pinterest, consistently sharing their message with interested audiences and new readers.
And just like you and me, they have their “regular” jobs to do in the meantime. How do they do it?
New technology is often called “labor saving.” In reality, it can be anything but labor saving as you try to navigate the way it works and how to leverage it for your business. Social media is no different. Fortunately, there are some great tools available to make it a whole lot easier to engage on the social plane.
Hats off to Jeff Anaya at Business 2 Community for this spiffy article on six social media tools. He gives a nice summary and quick overview of six services that are designed to help marketers get more out of their social interactions.
While these tools are certainly useful, it’s important not to put your entire social marketing program on autopilot. Too many companies “set it and forget it” and miss out on real-time interaction. Getting your content out there is one matter, but it’s just the beginning of the conversation.
Use the tools, and save your time for the important stuff like actually conversing with your prospects and customers.
NOTE: As of today, the Sidekick site says they are shutting down on November 15. As always, caveat emptor!
