In a rambling rant to the nearly-vacant offices of late August, Digiday’s Brian Morrissey took a swing through the recent creative nuggets lying around the Internet.
While ramble he did, he raised some great points about the need for creativity in all we do. There so very much noise that yelling won’t work, and it’s getting harder than ever to buy your way into the public consciousness.
You really need to get creative, be different, be brilliant…and do it all again and again and again.
Whether than takes the form of native advertising, sponsored content, paid ads or social savvy, a “must be different” approach is required.
Telling your story is not enough. It must be told on wax paper, with melted crayons as the ink, folded into an origami bird and manually airlifted into the hands of the influencers you need to reach.
That’s really not such a bad idea. I wonder where Brian sits. . .
