Two Fonts from France to Conquer the Boring Typeface Blues

This week we look to France for inspiration for our Friday Free Fonts.

The first is AW Conqueror Sans Light, designed by France’s Jean François Porchez, a pioneer in digital typography. His AW Conqueror series of fonts includes nine freebies.  The versatile sans serif design is influenced by European typography styles during the early- to mid-20th century. Download at Typofonderie.

Gasalt is a display typeface with a wide, geometric structure and quirky letter shapes,  inspired by the simplistic typography featured in retro video games. Designed by Remi Lagast  from Perpignan in the south of France, it’s available for free from Behance in black, regular and thin.

Enjoy these two font choices, and check back next week for more Free Friday Fonts. And go design something beautiful.
