Bashing paper as “anti-green” is a hot topic, so much so that the FTC recently put pressure on the “go green/go paperless” movement, warning them to avoid misleading and unsubstantiated claims. As we reported this winter, several U.S. companies are removing their “anti-paper” claims, and being more careful about spreading misinformation on the topic.
With the rhetoric dying down and more facts about paper’s impact on the environment coming to light, we hope more people are better informed about the true facts behind the sustainability and environmental responsibility of the paper industry.
