Free Friday Fonts for Bibliophiles

A lot of the free Friday fonts we post are great for digital design or large scale print like posters and playbills. Today, we offer two for the true book lovers in the design crowd.

Sreda is a slab serif font with crisp and neat letters that make it perfect for paragraphs. It’s compact, yet highly readable, and was designed by Elena Kowalski, who goes by the online name of GlenJan. Download this beauty at Font Fabric.

Specially designed for book designs and editorial projects, open source Unna is described as a “kindly font,” with delicate serifs and strong stems. The flow and contrast make it perfect for print projects, although it’s also optimized for screen use. It was designed by Jorge de Buen Unna and OmnibusType. Download this one at Behance.

As always, show these designers and their progeny some love: Like, share or donate to their work to support the art of good font design. And sign up for our newsletter to get more free Friday fonts every week.
