Font Nuts Will Love Inknut, one of This Week’s Free Fonts

We have a lot fun each week with our Free Friday Fonts, and enjoy digging up some unusual additions to your typeface library.

This week, we bring you Inknut Antiqua by Claus Eggers Sørensen.  The font is inspired by the artisanal calligraphy found in historical manuscripts, and comes in seven weights from light to black (but no italics). It’s great for creating a formal, almost chiseled look that harkens to antiquity, while maintaining readability in a modern setting. It was designed for long-form text and performs well on low-resolution screens. Download yours from FontSquirrel.

Next up is Questa Regular by designers Martin Majoor and Jos Buivenga. This is a highly versatile typeface family with two serif fonts for text and display uses, plus a sans-serif. This works really well in text-heavy projects that would benefit from multiple complementary font styles, to help create a clear typographic hierarchy. Find it at Fontspring, and make sure to get the regular weights of all three free styles – Questa Regular, Questa Grande, and Questa Sans.

Enjoy this week’s picks, and come back next week for more. And sign up for our newsletter to be sure you never miss a Free Friday Font!
