As the handcrafted artisanal look gives way to a more modern approach, designers are reaching for fresh fonts that look modern, without looking stark. And that’s why we really like these two fonts.
First up is Axis, created by Brazilian-based graphic designer Jean Wojchiechowski. The geometric sans-serif design was inspired by urban architecture and includes upper and lowercase letters that give a decidedly city-fresh vibe. Download for free at Behance.
From the city we head to the beach, thanks to Panama, a light free font from French designer Adrien Coquet. The relaxed sans-serif display typeface has a quirky, slightly retro style that makes think of the classic pink hotels of Miami Beach. Download it for yourself at Behance.
If you like these fonts, be sure to show the designers your appreciation by liking and following their posts. And check out our past Free Font Friday posts for more type goodness.
